Wanted to write a quick note to emphasize that AnjiPlay is not based on any pre-existing approach to early childhood education (including Montessori). Instead I meant to imply through the title of the piece that Ms. Cheng, like Maria Montessori and John Dewey before her, developed her approach based on close observation of the children in her care.
